Still, in the finale our mad scientist got more depressed - well, more openly depressed - as opposed to hiding behind a catch phrase and crazy hijinx.Īnd what better plot device to kick all of that off than a wedding? It’s safe to say that even before this finale things got kind of heavy during the second season of Rick and Morty, what with the attempted suicide and getting into some of the Smiths’ darker family moments.
